she...

are u for real?

satin finger tips and pomegranate tongue

dark eyes like dusty windows hiding treasures

ancient blood coursing thru fresh vessels

from dimly lit Brooklyn streets to
buried ruins

we travel kiss x kiss & touch x touch

1000 bitten lips and hyper ventilations later

we land

safely,

my bed is our runway

slow exhale and then it suddenly hits me.

Damn..

I guess u R real

afterall...

pack light...

Apparently, my partner on a certain "mystery" project could no longer contain his excitement regarding some of the semi-secretive details of our upcoming release.

haha...

Soooo... since the mystery is no more, I guess I ought to weigh in..

My good friend Michael Graham, and I, have embarked on a crazy musical journey which was born from one of our equally crazy phone conversations about music, life, God, and women. This journey will actually arrive in the form of an EP that I won't even attempt to describe, except to say that it is one of the greatest things I've ever been a part of creating. The soundscape is an ode of sorts to one of our favorite musicians by the name of Zachary Francis Condon, frontman of the band "Beirut".

"The Brooklyn Gypsy" as Michael describes in a recent post, is about going literally anywhere and feeling at home without ever really needing to physically leave where you currently are at all...

our train leaves in November... All Aboard!

BK GYPSY PROJECT

what manner of majik can be evoked from blending sound with spirit? vision with taste? heart with the mind's eye? & how is it all made tangible and attainable through a series of travels across continents, dimensions, and universes culminating in the borough of Brooklyn?

This Fall/Winter Sa/Ga and Rena1ssance endeavor to answer these questions with:

Brooklyn Gypsy

next Monday on MIDI MONSTERS

I'm definitely happy to announce that Mateo and Rick from WINKSOUND will be our featured guests on the 7th of September @ 12AM EST exclusively on www.DTFRADIO.com.

These guys have their fingers on the pulse of the future of the music making process. They have created a social web community for audio creatives to share knowledge with each other through the use of video tutorials and other mediums, and the best part? They do this for free. Imagine a "twitter" if you will, for audio creatives. Or better yet, a trading post for music producers/musicians to share tips and tricks and even new technologies with one another from literally everywhere on earth at once!

Yea, I know. Dope!

The possibilities are endless, and I can't wait to expose my audience to what these are doing.

Be sure to check out MIDI MONSTERS every Monday night @ Midnight Eastern.

Change the game and become a MONSTER!

Y&I MUSIC Presents... ESSO - "OFF THE WALL E009"

After weeks of anticipation, Esso has finally dropped his long awaited cover of M.J.'s classic Off The Wall album on the 30th anniversary of the records original release. This is the second major project that Esso has dropped this year after releasing The Lifestyles of The Young & Ignorant EP to critical acclaim back in May. Attempting to emmulate the legendary chemistry between Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones; the Off The Wall project is a collaborative effort between Esso, and Woody who is the sole producer on the album. Off The Wall marks a musical transition for Esso and is the precursor to Evolved; Esso's official debut album produced by Rena1ssance due sometime next year. Call me biased, but after a few listens of OTW all I have to say is... Drake who???

Y&I music presents: "Off The Wall"

Esso & Woody Discuss "Off The Wall" from stupid GENIUS on Vimeo.

This project has been a labor of love for Esso and Woody for the last few months, and while to some it may seem like an obvious ploy designed to capitalize on MJ's untimely passing, it is actually a very serious project that has been in the works for quite some time.

check out what ESSO has to say about it in his own words, and dload the first single right here
